Ask your child about...

-the math game Penny Plate. Try playing it at home!

-being geologists and observing and measuring rocks. What was one thing they noticed about their rock?

-our first Mystery Reader...Mrs. Wallace!

Ask your child about...

-reading "The Doorbell Rang" by Pat Hutchins and acting out the story using felt cookies

-illustrating the song "It is Spring"

-celebrating earning 100 stars with a face painting day!

-the new sight word game Tricky Robots

-solving number stories by drawing and then figuring out the number sentence to match (ex: 3 dogs, 3 cats. How many pets? 3+3=6). Try coming up with some number stories at home and challenging your child to write a number sentence to match. Is it a "put together" (addition) or a "take away" (subtraction)?

-reading the book "Fair is Fair" by Sonny Varela and learning the difference between fair and equal.

-writing and drawing about their favorite spring activity
