Intro to Business Technology
This course is the first in the pathway. Everyone must pass this in order to move on!
Students will explore the Microsoft Word software word processing program
Students will have an opportunity to earn their Microsoft Word Certification in this course
Introduction to Business & Technology is the foundational course for the following pathways: Advanced Accounting, Financial Services, Business Accounting, Business and Technology, Entrepreneurship and Human Resources Management. The course is designed for high school students as a gateway to the career pathways mentioned above, and provides an overview of business and technology skills required for today's business environment.
Business Technology
This is the second course in the pathway.
Students will investigate the Microsoft Excel software spreadsheet program
Students will have an opportunity to earn their Microsoft Excel Certification in this course
Business and Technology is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills to be an competent individual in the collaborative, global, and innovative business world of today and tomorrow. Mastery use of spreadsheets and the ability to apply leadership skills to make informed business decisions will be a highlight of this course for students.
Business Communication
This is the final course in the pathway.
Students will learn how to operate the Microsoft PowerPoint software presentation program
Students will have an opportunity to earn their Microsoft PowerPoint Certification in this course
Students will have an opportunity to be acknowledged as a pathway completer as this signifies the final course under the Business Technology pathway
As one of the most important skills for employers, students will explore the value of communication in their personal and professional life. The digital presence and impact of written and visual communication in a technological society will be addressed. Students will create, edit, and publish professional-appearing business documents with clear and concise communication.
