This semester, I took a sewing class with RicRack to learn how sew more sustainable clothing. Through the class, I learned how to sew a dress, straps, and a belt as well as a bucket hat. This project helped me learn how to sew reused clothing and to teach other people how to shop more sustainably.

This photographic and multimedia exhibit opens the viewer's eyes to Louisiana's defaced bodies of water. The exhibit asks the viewer to step into the debris and reflect on its impact on the environment. Three locations were documented over the span of 6 months; the Mississippi River (End of the World), Lake Ponchatrain (Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Park), and the Gulf of Mexico (Fort Pike Boat Ramp).
There are 27 final photos that were printed and mounted for viewers to reflect on about the coast. 7 small color prints, 6 black and white, and 13 others in different sizes. There was also a large sculpture made out of driftwood and other things that were collected over the months. The final product was an art show that people could come to and see the work and walk around the gallery.

My capstone project addresses the Stop Asian Hate movement that has been occurring since the start of 2020. Ever since the onset of Covid, Asian Americans have been getting harassed, name called, and even murdered for being Asian. I interviewed some of my Asian friends about their experiences, and decided to turn it into a piece of art. I created over 10 pieces of art to advocate to stop asian hate. 1 drawing details my friend's story while the others represent different countries. I hope that my art will raise awareness about Asian hate.
