Leadership

Leadership is carrying oneself with dignity and taking ownership and responsibility for one’s own actions and participation.

Student leaders are often viewed as those students who are resourceful, good problem solvers, involved in and promoters of school activities, idea contributors, dependable, and who are both organized and organizers. The student who leads:


  • Is resourceful in proposing new problems, applying principles, and making suggestions.

  • Demonstrates initiative in promoting school activities

  • Exercises positive influence on peers in upholding school ideals.

  • Is able to delegate responsibilities.

  • Is a leader in the classroom, at work, and in other school or community activities.

  • Inspires positive behaviors in others.

  • Contributes ideas that improve the civic life of the school.

  • Successfully holds school offices or positions of responsibility

  • Exemplifies positive attitudes

  • Demonstrates academic initiative

  • Is willing to uphold scholarship and maintain a loyal school attitude

  • Is thoroughly dependable in any responsibility accepted
