Character
Character is valuing diverse cultures and building relationships that reflect love of self but also concern for others. It is about the personal commitment to ethical and compassionate decision making that affects oneself and others
The student of character can be said to be one who upholds principles of morality and ethics; is cooperative and responsible; demonstrates high standards of honesty and reliability; shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others; and is a good citizen. The student who demonstrates character:
Accepts criticism and recommendations graciously
Consistently exemplifies desirable qualities of behavior (cheerfulness, friendliness, poise, stability)
Actively helps rid school of bad influences
Regularly shows courtesy, concern, and respect for others
Manifests truthfulness in acknowledging obedience to rules, avoiding cheating in written work, and showing unwillingness to profit by mistakes of others.
Observes instructions and rules, is punctual, and faithful both inside and outside the classroom
Upholds principles of morality and ethics
Cooperates by complying with school regulations concerning property, programs, office, halls, etc
Demonstrates the highest standards of honesty and reliability
Has powers of concentration, self-discipline, and sustained attention as shown by perseverance and application to studies
