Welcome to the Flow Cytometry Platform (FCP) at Champalimaud Foundation. We offer state-of-the-art flow cytometry cell analysis and high-speed sorting. We are currently equipped with BD FACSAria Fusion Cell Sorter with four lasers (488nm, 56nm, 640nm and 405nm). The Platform is also equipped with analytical instruments: two BD LSRFortessa X20 with four lasers (488nm, 561nm, 640nm and 405nm) and PMT option to detect small particles (>100nm).
Our staff provide a variety of flow cytometric approaches for multiparameter fluorescent analysis and sorting of different cell types. Cell sorting is also available for live human cells and infectious (BSL-2 level) samples. Training on analytical cytometers is available to investigators in order for them to analyse their own samples.
We welcome users from Champalimaud Research laboratories, other academic institutions and external commercial groups.
The Flow Cytometry Platform is one of the founders of the FLxFlow - a Portuguese network for Flow Cytometry which aims to bring together core flow facilities in the Lisbon area and enable the access of scientists to cutting edge applications.
