Helen Addams Keller was born on June 27, 1880, in Tuscumbia Alabama. Her dad was Captain Keller and her mom was Kate Keller. Her sister was Mildred. When Helen was 2, In 1882, she got very sick and lost her hearing and sight. In 1887, when Helen was 7 years old, her parents hired a teacher named Anne Sullivan to help her communicate. She got into a lot of mischief when she was a kid, she cut her dog and friends hair! She wrote a lot of books like "The story of my life" or "midstream". She was very smart for her age when she was a kid. She made over 50 of her own sign language words! She is known for being a famous world traveler and a bestselling author. When she was older, she got the star role in a movie called "Deliverance". She got into a really good college named Radcliff, that even people that were not deaf and blind, could not get into. She graduated in 1904. In 1936, Annie died. When Helen was nearly 88, she died. She died on June 1st, 1968. Helen will always be remembered for being deaf and blind, while completing great accomplishments.
