Bond Building Construction has been hired as Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) to manage the project’s construction. The building will be built in two phases, and Bond has broken the construction process into multiple stages (illustrated below). Safe site access for pedestrians, buses, cars, and construction vehicles has been accounted for in each stage of construction.
In spring of 2028, site preparation will begin. The modular classrooms at the rear of the existing building will be removed, and fencing will be installed around the construction areas on the Pollard site and at Warner field.
Parking and traffic circulation will remain unchanged while school is in session.
Preparation will continue over the summer with the expansion of the parking lot on Harris Avenue and construction of a temporary access driveway inside the construction site.
At Warner field, underground wells for the geothermal system will be installed.
Phase 1 of the new building will be constructed. Warner field will be used as a laydown area for construction materials. Construction vehicles will access the site from Harris Avenue via the new temporary driveway.
Phase 1 construction will be complete and the new building will be occupied by grades 7 and 8 starting in September 2030.
Fencing will be installed around the old Pollard during demolition and Phase 2 construction. Temporary staff parking will be built at Warner field.
A permanent parking lot on Harris will be ready for staff parking. Final construction of the grade 6 wing and car drop-off loop will be completed.
Building construction will be complete, and 6th grade students will attend the new school starting in January 2032. Warner Field will be reconstructed.
