On your computer, visit Google Calendar.
Sign in with your NPS Google Account.
Once you sign in, you'll be taken to Google Calendar.
To change any of your settings, go to the top right corner and click Settings
There are two ways to create an event on the website.
You can click on the plus icon at the bottom right of the page to see the full event creation form.
Or you can click on a date which will generate a mini form inviting you to fill in the event’s most important details.
Google has the ability to scan incoming emails and add any events from Gmail it finds to your calendar automatically. It can be very useful. It means that when you receive an emailed invitation, when you check your calendar, you’ll find those events already entered.
You can find this feature in 'Settings'
Open Google Calendar.
Make sure that you're in Week view or any Day view.
Click the date you want office hours
Select “Appointment Slot”
Enter the details, including a title, and pick the calendar where you want the event to show up.
Click your appointment and then “Go to appointment page for this calendar”.
Copy and paste the appointment page link from your browser.
Send this link to students to reserve an appointment slot OR Share to Google Classroom
In the Add guests field, enter the first few letters of a person’s name or email address. Matching addresses in your organization’s directory appear as you enter text.
Click a suggestion to add that person to the event. If no suggestions appear, enter your guest’s full email address. After you add a guest to your event:
A video meeting in Google Meet is automatically added to the event.
If you are adding students as guests, make sure to delete the generated video link and replace it with a Classroom Link or Nickname
When you add a guest to an event, a video meeting in Google Meet is automatically added to the event.
For G Suite Enterprise edition accounts, a dial-in phone number and PIN are also added.
You can delete the link and add a Meeting Nickname in the details section if you are meeting with students.
Add guests and add conferencing as usual.
Copy and Paste the Google Meet info from your Google Classroom into the invitation.
Students will now be able to access your Classroom Meeting from their Google Calendar.
