Support your child's online learning

SUPPORT STEPS:

Here are a few tips that may be helpful in guiding your student as they access online learning resources.

  1. Know the basic places your child's teacher shares information.
Make sure you know where the teacher is posting assignments, announcements, and feedback. Teachers will be using Google Classroom (grades 3-12) or SeeSaw (grades PK-2). The Media and Digital Learning site provides guides and resources on how to use both.

  1. Know what resources are available.
Have your student guide you through their learning systems. This will allow you to see what resources are available to your student(s) and give you insight into managing the work that needs to be done.

  1. Get notified of assignments.
Grades PK- 2 Use the family code to see SeeSaw and assignments.
Grades 3-12 Make sure you sign up to get notifications from your student’s teachers in Google Classroom.

  1. View student grades.
If you are a parent of a student(s) in grades 6-12, be sure you know how to log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal. This will enable you to be aware of your student(s) grades and assignments. You can also download the Powerschool app for your mobile device.
