Once again, congratulations on your acceptance to NEC! We are pleased to be able to share information about how to initialize your NEC login. This is the login you will use throughout your journey to becoming an NEC student, and throughout your academic career.
If you have already signed in with your NEC login you can use the same password as before. If you forgot your password there is a forgot password link to help you reset it.
If you have not yet signed in with your NEC login, please follow these steps to initialize your account:
1. Sign In
Go to https://my.necmusic.edu
Your username is: {{Person-NEC-Username}}
Your password is MMDDYYYY@NECmusic
(‘MMDDYYYY’ is your eight-digit birth date in MMDDYYYY format)
2. Set Up 2-Factor Authentication
This step provides security to ensure your personal information remains private, and also allows for you to utilize account recovery features if you ever get locked out.
Option 1: One Login Protect (Recommended)
OneLogin Protect is a mobile app which allows you to approve login requests on your phone or mobile device from anywhere. View step by step instructions for setting up OneLogin Protect: https://sites.google.com/necmusic.edu/onelogin/onelogin-protect
Option 2: One Login SMS
If you are in the United States, and have a US-based mobile phone plan, you may use this option to approve login requests with a text message.
3. Create a password for your account
You will need to set a new password for your account. When you see the password expired screen:
use the password above as the 'current password'
set a personal password containing upper case, lower case, numeral, and symbol characters (8-16 characters).
