Greetings Bobcats,
We are excited to have the hustle and bustle of busy Bobcats in our building for the 24/25 school year. As we prepare for a busy first week of school, please see the activities below for dates and times. We look forward to an incredible year of learning.
Building Preview: Come join us for Building Preview. The intermediate buildings will be open to tour and walk-through on Monday, August 19th from 4:00-6:00.
Back to School Night: Come and meet your intermediate student’s teacher, tour the building and get a head start on documents at our Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 20th during the times listed below.
6:00-6:45 - Session 1
7:00-7:45 - Session 2
School Nurse: If you need to drop off meds or connect with our school nurse, Ms. Gantz she will be at each building during the following times:
6:00-6:55 SBI
7:05-8:00 SFI
Weekly Blast: Each Friday the intermediate buildings will publish a weekly communication in the Intermediate News website. This will be your hub for generalized outgoing communication and updates. In addition to this, a reminder email will be sent out each week with a link to the updated website. We have found that this is the best way to get information out to you. Of course if you have any questions you can call into the buildings or email.
HERE is a link to the website. It may be helpful to add this as a bookmark.
Weis 4 School: Register your Weis Rewards card online at weis4school.com. By participating in this program, we can earn money for our school by simply shopping. Once you register, you’re in the program and you do not need to register again this school year. Please share this information with your friends and family. The more interest and enthusiasm we generate, the greater the benefits to our school.
Junior Achievement:
Junior Achievement has volunteer opportunities with our intermediate students. See the link below. The brochure contains a short video, Q & A, and an electronic volunteer sign up form. This sign-up form is sent directly to JA.
Student Supply List
The school provides each student with most supplies they will need for the school year. There are a few low-cost items that you could provide that would be helpful. If you are in need of assistance, please reach out to the principal, school counselors, or teacher.

Shallow Brook Intermediate Car Procedures
Parents or Guardians dropping off and/or picking up their children in a car should wait in their cars.
Morning Drop-off (8:25am-8:50am)
All walkers are to be dropped off at the front of the school doors. Drivers should remain in the car and pull up, single file. Children should exit the car and walk directly into the school. If you need to walk your child into the office, please park in a designated parking space. For the safety of all students, no parents will be admitted through ANY other doors. Students eating breakfast at school will be admitted at 8:25 am.
Afternoon Pickup (3:40pm)
Walkers who travel by foot will be dismissed promptly at 3:25 pm. Car riders will be dismissed after the buses have been released and are off of the triplex. Car drivers must pull up in rows in between parked cars to wait for their student. No cars may pass other cars unless a staff member gives permission.
Office Pickup: Because of the security procedures all parents must enter the building. If you need to pick your child up from inside the school, prior to dismissal, please park in a parking spot and come into the main office. You will need your license.
