For this project, I had the opportunity to go into the home and explore different evidence-based methods to promote the health and safety of others. Innovation was used to demonstrate leadership in ways that could help this family live in a safer environment and provide resources. As a nurse, I demonstrated professionalism, and provided many suggestions to promote a healthy home.

This is a paper I wrote to wrap up my experience in the LPN-BSN program at NDSU. This demonstrates my commitment to life-long learning and my philosophy and beliefs surrounding the nursing profession.

Reflection
Demonstrating professionalism helps gain the respect of both patients and other health care professionals. Throughout the program, we spent time developing professional communication skills that will benefit us as future professional nurses. As nurses, we are held to a high standard which is important to maintain throughout the duration of your career. I understand the importance of lifelong learning to keep up with the evolving health care system.
