For my population focused assessment, I spent time out in the community learning about many different healthcare resources offered to people who live in the area. There are many social determinants of health that impact people in the community that serve as barriers. As a health care provider, I have to focus on providing access to care to people in need. We have to lessen these SDOH in order to optimize health outcomes for everyone. 

For this assignment, we explored the ethical concepts surrounding patient care and how we can uphold the ethical priniciples as nurses. This strenthed my ability to identifiy situations when legal scenerios can occur where I may need to incouproate my professional values as a nurse. 

Throughout the program, we have spent a lot of time learning about the different populations of people we will be caring for during our careers as professional nurses. We have dove headfirst into our own thoughts  on professionalism and the values we each have when it comes to providing top-quality care to our patients. I am confident I will be able to care for all people regardless of their backgrounds and belifiefs, and I am ready to advocate for my patient's care. 

I have spent time practicing my skills and learning how to effectively collaborate with other members of the professional health care team which has prepared me to practice in the professional nursing role.
