Football
Freshman Football begins on Thursday, August 6th. Players will meet in the gym bleachers at 3 pm. Head Freshman Coach Patrick Early and his staff will give you some introductory information at that time. Shortly after the meeting, there will be a football practice from 3:30 - 6:00 pm.
Players should bring workout clothes (shorts and ND t-shirt) with them to change into. They should bring gym shoes and football spikes, and they should bring a water bottle. The players will be assigned a locker (most will have already been assigned a locker because of summer football camp) and given a lock (most will have already been assigned a lock because of summer football camp) to secure their clothes and equipment. If they did not receive it in the summer, players will receive football equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, girdle, knee pads, mouth piece, one practice pants, one practice jersey, two game jerseys).
Boys interested in playing football are HIGHLY encouraged to attend the Incoming Freshmen Summer Football Camp (practices) in June and July. This is highly recommended as it is a good chance for coaches to build the team, and also allows players to train, lift weights, condition, learn the schemes, work on fundamentals, and allows players to meet and interact with future classmates/teammates.

Golf
There will be an informational meeting with Coach Pauley on Monday, August 3rd at 5:30 PM via Zoom for those who want information about the tryout process. There will be a QR code and/or a link to a Google Form to sign up for tryouts. Tryouts begin at Skokie Sports Park Driving Range where players will hit multiple shots with multiple clubs. Therefore, we can analyze their swing potential for competitive golf. The goal of the range is to assess the ability for your son to hit a golf ball well while also helping us to limit the number of tryout participants on the course for the following two days. This is a competitive golf environment and not an instructional league. Course etiquette and basic knowledge of the game is required. We typically would like to only bring 36 golfers (at a maximum) to the course on Tuesday and Wednesday. If there are any other questions or concerns, I encourage you to join the Zoom on Monday, August 3rd, 2026 or you can contact Coach Joe Pauley.
Tuesday, Aug. 8th - Swing critiques at the Skokie Sports Park Driving Range in Skokie on Oakton Ave., 9 AM - 12 PM
Wednesday, Aug 9th and Thursday, Aug. 10th - JV and Varsity will play 2 nine hole rounds on both days.
Season starts the following day on Friday, August 11th.
Please contact Coach Joe Pauley at jpauley@nddons.org with any questions.
Hockey
The NDCP Hockey Club has a proud tradition and an exciting future! The Club promotes a best-in-class high school hockey experience for its players, all members & students, and the community of Notre Dame College Prep. The NDCP Hockey Club and its leadership will support the athletic, social, emotional, educational and overall growth of the players, in full accordance with the culture of Notre Dame College Prep. Playing high school hockey for NDCP provides immense value as the club offering is unmatched as it allows you to experience playing for your high school and in front of large home crowds with your family, friends, school staff, and classmates. Hockey-specific strength and conditioning training during the season takes place at NDCP, after school. The NDCP Hockey Dons have 2-3 professionally-guided workouts per week in season as well as 1-3 weekly workouts at NDCP in spring and summer during the off-season. The NDCP Hockey club offers practice ice 2-3 times per week, with in-house Skills & Goalie training. In addition, our teams play in competitive leagues (Chicago Catholic Hockey League & IHSHL - North Central League) and may supplement our league schedule with independent games and tournaments.
Tryouts for the fall season typically take place at the end of August. Tryouts for the spring season are held in late March. Incoming Freshmen (current 8th graders) are eligible to play for the NDCP Hockey Club during the spring season. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact the NDCP Hockey Club at ndcphockey@gmail.com or visit ndcphockey.org.
Soccer
Freshman Soccer tryouts will take place on August 6th and 7th. On August 6th, players will meet at 2:30 PM in the stadium bleachers (dressed in running shoes and workout clothes) and tryouts will last from 3-6 PM each day. Our Head Freshman Coach, Aldin Markicic, and his staff will run tryouts. Players should bring all their soccer gear to each day of tryouts as well – shin guards, soccer socks, cleats. Freshmen will try out and practice by the water tower grass area located by our back baseball field. They will use the stadium track for fitness activities as well. All of their home games for the fall will be on the turf field. Rosters will be announced by our Freshmen soccer coaching staff at the conclusion of tryouts on August 7th. Practices for players who make the team will begin on August 8th. Typically, we have either 3 or 4 levels of soccer for the program, and that will be determined at tryout time based on numbers. Players interested in playing soccer are encouraged to attend the Incoming Freshmen Soccer Camp in June as well. This is highly recommended as it is a good chance for coaches to see them play and allows players to meet future classmates/teammates. Any questions/concerns please contact Varsity Coach Michael Smith (msmith@nddons.org) or Freshmen Coach Aldin Markicic (amarkicic@nddons.org).
