Community is an important aspect of the Kellogg International Scholars Program. The required meetings of the Program are just one way to build this community by bringing Scholars together to learn about upcoming events and deadlines and to converse with fellow Scholars about the research they are doing for their faculty adviser, senior thesis tips and ideas, etc. However, the Program also offers the following ways to participate and connect with fellow Scholars, faculty, and other members of the community.
Use the Kellogg Commons as a space to study and interact with other members of the Kellogg community such as graduate students, faculty fellows, and visiting fellows. Ask your faculty adviser to meet with you in the Commons, or invite a small group of other International Scholars to gather for coffee and talk about your research.
Fall 2021 Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 12am
*The Kellogg Commons closes at 5pm on Fridays of home football games.
Students and faculty advisers are encouraged to share a meal together. Note that we send a gift certificate to each faculty adviser at the beginning of each semester for this purpose.
Invite a Kellogg Faculty Fellow, Visiting Fellow, or graduate student for coffee to talk about research, advice, and simply to get to know each other. Starbucks cards are available to pick up from the Kellogg office (1130 Jenkins Hall).
We have created a LinkedIn group for both current Kellogg International Scholars and alumni of the Program. Click on the link to join the group and connect with other Scholars.
