The Pender County 4-H Teen Council is for all youth ages 13-18. Members meet monthly to discuss 4-H needs, practice leadership and citizenship skills, plan community service events and fundraisers, and share input from their respective clubs. Meetings are open to all age-eligible 4-H members. Let Liz know if you are interested in joining!

2020 Pender County 4-H Officers

Meet our 4-H Teen Council Officers!

These officers work together to promote 4-H in their communities and make the best better! 4-H Teen Council Officers have opportunities to enhance their leadership skills, gain citizenship experience, and develop other life skills.

Officer duties are described below:

President: The president is the head of the 4-H club. He/she should preside in such a manner that all members feel free to take part. A properly conducted 4-H meeting is an excellent example of true democracy.

Vice President: The vice president will often be called upon to serve in the absence of the club president. It is also common for the vice president to act as program chair for meetings.

Secretary: The club secretary’s major responsibility is to ensure the club’s accomplishment is well documented throughout the club year. The North Carolina 4-H Club Secretary’s guide should be given to all incoming secretaries at the beginning of the club year.

Reporter: The reporter's major responsibility is to market the 4-H club to the community. He/she can post pictures from events on social media, write a newspaper article, keep a scrapbook, and keep others in the community informed about club activities.
