The Pender County 4-H Advisory Council provides advisory leadership for the Pender County 4-H Program. The advisory council is not a board of directors. It is a group of citizens interested in helping 4-H meet its goal of impacting youth through a “learn by doing” approach. This group advises the program on community needs and helps identify opportunities for 4-H to meet those needs.
The 4-H Youth Development educational programs are based on the needs identified in communities and by emerging issues of the surrounding area. It is the purpose of the 4-H Advisory Council to make sure that local, regional and national needs, are reflected in programs that address the problems that are identified.
Jessica Aguilar (UNCW, Juntos 4-H Club Leader)
