Soils Laboratory Manual
The Soils Laboratory Manual is an open-source, open access laboratory manual designed for introductory, undergraduate soil science courses. It has a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). It was first developed by a series of faculty members at North Carolina State University, and later adapted by Colby Moorberg for use at Kansas State University. The foundational document of this open-source lab manual is the Soils Laboratory Manual -- K-State Edition. The student version was published as supplementary material to our article in the Natural Sciences Education journal (Moorberg and Crouse, 2017), and is publicly available as a PDF, DOCX, or RTF here:
The RTF format should be compatible with most open-source word processors. The instructor version of the manual can be found in the same formats Soils Laboratory Manual Library (note, instructor credentials must be reviewed and approved to gain access to instructor copies of the manual and any ancillary materials).
