Recognition and Awards

The NCAE4-HYDP Recognition Committee is pleased to announce the call for award nominations and applications. Please make time to compile your application materials to ensure your hard work and great programming efforts are recognized!

1. Review the Awards Criteria to determine all necessary components for each award application

2. A Google submission is required for each award entry. National awards (Communicator & Specialty) must also be entered on the NAE4-HYDP Open Waters Site.

3. Required in the Google submission are 1) a 50-word statement for each national and state award entry 2) a state award application 3) photo

OBJECTIVE
To recognize NAE4-HYDP members for significant accomplishments in presenting 4-H to the general public, civic groups, 4-H groups, or individuals through public information methods.

REQUIREMENTS
Please read and review individual award class descriptions carefully; some have different requirements than others. To learn more about the requirements, review the National Communicator Awards Criteria & Score Sheets.

When submitting communicator awards, please limit each program/event/activity/project to ONLY one communicator award class.

Team awards are limited to 10 members (applicant and up to 9 other individuals).

ABSTRACT

Each Communicator award entry must include an abstract. The abstract should include information such as:

Target Audience
Current Population
Publisher’s Requirements
Methods Used
Production Costs
Impact Results
Information on the role the applicant had in the entry

Service Awards

To recognize NAE4-HYDP members for significant accomplishments in various stages of a career and contributions to the 4-H Youth Development profession.

ACHIEVEMENT IN SERVICE AWARD (ASA)

- - - - Must be a current NAE4-HYDP member as of January 31 of the year you apply
      - Must have been a National member the two previous years
      - Must have served more than 3 and less than 7 years in 4-H programs as of January 31 of the year you apply
      - DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD (DSA)

- - - - Must be a current NAE4-HYDP member as of January 31 of the year you apply
      - Must have been a National member the two previous years
      - Must have served 7 years or more in 4-H programs as of January 31 of the year you apply
      - MERITORIOUS SERVICE AWARD (MSA)

- - - - Must be a current NAE4-HYDP member as of January 31 of the year you apply
      - Must have been a National member the four previous years
      - Must have served 15 years or more in 4-H programs as of January 31 of the year you apply
      - Must have previously received the NAE4-HA Distinguished Service Award
      - 25 YEARS OF SERVICE
