Professional Development

• Committee and chairman (state President-Elect) work with host district to plan the Winter Professional meeting and Annual Conference (See NCAE4-HYDP Policy Statement for Rotation Schedule).

• Plan workshops and professional development for Winter Professional Meeting and Annual Conference.

  • Secure keynote and workshop speakers; cover travel and fees in budget

  • Provide host/hostess for workshops

  • Work with host district to plan schedule for annual meetings

• Make recommendations to Extension Administration on staff development, scholarships, advanced degrees and research

• Judge the First Timer’s Scholarship to NCAE4-HYDP and NAE4-HYDP, Southern Region First Timer’s Scholarship to NAE4-HYDP, the Chet and Lucy Black 4-H Professional Development Award and the NAE4-HYDP Presentation Scholarship.
