This unit discussed all things education. We studied vocabulary relating to our classes, teachers, grades, difficulty, supplies, schedules (time), and extracurricular activities. We also studied education systems in other countries, comparing our experiences with those in Netherlands, Russia, Yemen, Nigeria, Britain, Taiwan, etc.
Yo tengo cuatro classes: las matemáticas, las ciencias, las historia, y el Español. "I have four classes: math, science, history, and Spanish."
La clase de ciencias empieza a las sieste vienticinco por la mañana. "Science class starts at 7:25 a.m."
In terms of grammar, we also learned how to use prepositions, as well as when to use estoy v.s. ser.
In this unit, I learned a lot of things about education. It directly applied to my classmates and I as we are students right now and still have quite a few years to go. This new vocab will be relevant to our current situation.
However, there was also a lot we now know that does not directly relate to what the unit title might suggest. Prepositions is a big one; things like "inside" and "next to" are very basic but important at the same time. It is these basic things that will really boost our ability.
I am still on task for my most of my Spanish work; I am picking up things quickly. However, I am sort of lazy with my vocabulary, and I know that on the quizzes and tests a good majority of the points I lose are from forgetting what words mean. I need to study them more.
A classmate and I wrote and performed a basic conversation discussing our school schedule.
