Students

Dear Seniors,

We would like to offer you an exciting proposal for the last several weeks of your senior year.  You can experience the World of Work first-hand and explore future career interests by participating in the New Canaan High School Senior Internship Program (SIP). Picture yourself writing for a newspaper, working at an art museum, teaching a kindergarten class or making an informational video for a local nonprofit organization..

The purpose of SIP is to expose you to the workplace outside of your formal educational experience. Interns will work approximately twenty-five hours per week in an unpaid position at a pre-approved work site. Since internship work hours will generally occur during the school day, you can still participate in sports and other extracurricular activities.

Any senior who is passing ALL classes at the time of application and whose attendance is in good standing may apply to SIP.
