The 60-Second Challenge
The cadet has 60 seconds to give a leadership speech on a random topic.
Examples:
“Why should someone join NJROTC?”
“What makes a good leader?”
“Your squad just failed. What do you say?”
“Why does discipline matter?”
Twist: The commander chooses the topic on the spot.
Or " Mission: Impossible Challenge"
To complete this mission, you must ask the unit's most wanted high-ranking criminal for the initial instructions.
🎖️Once a Cadet, Always a Leader
Discover how former North Port NJROTC cadets have carried the lessons of leadership, discipline, and service into college, military service, careers, and their communities.
This month, we focus on Integrity. Integrity in leadership begins with the consistent discipline displayed by Cadets like former Cadet Issah Owens. Building a strong foundation in his time at the North Port High School NJROTC, Issah is now furthering his leadership journey at Vanderbilt University ROTC. Notably, he was solely responsible for launching our Academic Team (Brain Brawl), and in the years since, he has frequently returned to ensure the program remains on course. We are proud to feature him as our first Spotlight Cadet. Issah is expected to be commissioned into the United States Army in May 2027, carrying the values he honed here into his career as an officer. We salute him and wish him continued success.
