Since its founding in 1964, the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps program has remained committed to the education of cadets and the preparation of citizens.
At North Port NJROTC, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. Through Naval Science, leadership, citizenship, and hands-on learning, our cadets are challenged to develop the knowledge, discipline, and critical-thinking skills needed to succeed in school, in their communities, and beyond graduation.

Intro to citizenship, leadership, Navy customs, geography, wellness, first aid, drill and uniform wear. Foundation of pride and discipline.
Builds citizenship/leadership, maritime history from 1775 to present, oceanography, meteorology, navigation, seamanship and naval weapons.
Focus on leadership, teamwork, sea power, naval operations, ship construction, navigation rules, weapons/aircraft and military law.
Advanced leadership, ethics, career/college planning and personal finance. Cadets lead the unit and mentor younger cadets.
