This course has enhanced my ability to serve as a change agent and inspirational technology leader aligned with ISTE Standards 1 and 3. Through discussions and assignments, I developed a vision for how to integrate technology in a transformative way that improves equity, access, and sustainability. For example, in our mock grant proposal for integrating iPads into a fine arts program, I developed skills for building shared vision and planning transformative change. Our team collaborated to outline a proposal for using iPads to increase engagement, access, and personalized learning in fine arts programs. This project gave me valuable experience with developing consensus around a strategic plan for grant-funded innovation. It demonstrated my abilities as an educational technology facilitator to inspire and participate in a shared vision for comprehensive technology integration that enables excellence and transformational change.
As an educational technology coach at Pima Community College, I aim to take a balanced approach that maximizes technology's benefits while mitigating negative impacts. To demonstrate visionary leadership (ISTE 1a), I will collaborate with administrators and teachers to develop a strategic plan for phasing in advanced technologies like Generative AI. This plan will aim for improved student outcomes and environmental sustainability.
Additionally, I will build relationships with educators (ISTE 3b) to identify inclusive digital content for our diverse adult learners. Through ongoing partnerships (ISTE 3c), we will evaluate new tools and carefully select those that best serve our students. My approach throughout will focus on thoughtful innovation that enables transformational change and student success. By serving as a visionary technology leader, I hope to inspire positive change at Pima Community College and beyond.

This course enhanced my ability to serve as a digital citizenship advocate aligned with ISTE Standard 7. Through lessons and discussions on equitable access, online safety, and cultural awareness, I developed skills for modeling responsible technology use.
In a post, I reflected on the need to teach adult learners digital skills so they can protect their information and fully participate online. My sample unit on global digital citizenship included lessons on making public service videos about equitable access and using Padlet to foster cultural understanding. These hands-on activities empower student to be informed digital citizens.
As a coach, I will continue promoting digital citizenship, like teaching students to think critically about online sources (ISTE 7c). In planning teacher training, I will incorporate ethics case students so educators can thoughtfully guide learners. My goal is to inspire our school community to harness technology as responsible global citizens. I aim to advocate for digital inclusion and cultivate a culture of empathy and respect.
