University Advising offers a three phase training on Advising Theory to Practice.
Phase 1: Overview
Occurs during New Advisor Onboarding
Phase 2: Online Module
Also completed during New Advisor Onboarding, and after the overview presentation.
Phase 3: University Advising Developmental Training
Offered twice per year
Completed within the first six months of being hired.

Phase 2: Online Module contains four sections that must be completed sequentially. It is designed to give a deeper understanding of the Advising Theories and how to best put into practice the theories your daily work with students.
