Study aims: To identify how clinical outcome measures allow for objective assessment and consequent in-depth client care.
The research presented in this presentation shows how clinical outcomes measures can be integrated to support overall client care. It further demonstrates how future use of clinical outcome measures, can support research outputs, and consequent transparency (objective) within our profession regarding the benefits of naturopathy.
Naturopathy in health care: holistic preventive approaches towards prediabetes, reducing HbA1c as a primary health care diagnostic marker:
Study aims: To explore the role of naturopathy and herbal medicine, as preventive health care in supporting the wellbeing of individuals with pre-diabetes.
The case study presented in this poster will support reflection in how we can further integrate naturopathic and herbal medicine care within mainstream primary health care systems. The holistic care provided and consequent results for the client, highlights both collaboration and integration of care for positive health outcomes. The client care provided within this case demonstrates the role of the therapeutic relationship and the importance of this within our profession, alongside demonstrating the healing power of nature and the inherent self-healing process.
Holistic healing across cultures: Integrating Ayurveda and naturopathy for anxiousness
Study aims: Study aims: Holistic clinical considerations approached through naturopathic and Ayurveda lenses to support reduction of stress, guided by the General Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7).
The research presented in this presentation shows how clinical outcomes measures can be integrated to support overall client care. Sarah has worked as a holistic clinical consultant within an integrated clinical practice, been a guest speaker at corporate events, retreats, and community events.
Sarah has worked as a clinical supervisor and lectured across a range of courses within the Bachelor of Naturopathy, Bachelor of Natural Medicine degrees, and Nutrition diploma.
Currently working as the Clinic Coordinator at South Pacific College Natural Medicine, Sarah enjoys working with students, supporting their clinical professional growth, with a focus on mind, body and spiritual wellness.
Sarah currently also holds private guest speaking events, enjoying educating on topics such as perimenopause.
Sarah coordinates the case series research at South Pacific College of Natural Medicine. This has involved supporting students to implement clinical outcome measures with participants relevant to three key areas: endometriosis, anxiety and prediabetes.
