This trip is ideal for students who are interested in attending PFAA in high school, working behind-the-scenes on a play, and/or in Stagecraft/Drama workshops.
Chaperones will drop off in front of the Benvenuti on the Blackrock campus at 9:45am to Jennifer Akin and enter campus as a group, so students must arrive on time and be picked up at 11:30.
This is a great opportunity for older students to learn about oceanography with NOAA specialists at the Exploration Center in Santa Cruz.

PACT Field trips are opportunities for families to come together for learning experiences. Field Trips are enrichment opportunities and are, therefore, neither mandatory nor guaranteed. Field Trip opportunities vary from each other and from year to year.
Procedure for signing-up for a field trip:
Read the information posted in the PACT weekly email and on Field Trip fliers.
Fill out a PACT Student Field Trip Registration Form for each desired field trip and be sure to include parent/guardian signatures.
Sign your names on the signup sheet at the front desk and pay any associated field trip fees. Complete chaperone/sibling payment envelope and enclose payment.
Attendance & Cancellation Policy
When a family signs up for a field trip, their tickets are purchased ahead of time by the school; thus, it is very important that students and chaperones attend. We make field trips a priority at PACT and want to ensure that as many students as possible get to attend field trips.
When a student and/or chaperone cannot attend the field trip, the family is responsible for calling the PACT office to cancel at least 48 hours in advance.
Refunds are not available for field trips in most circumstances. In the event of an emergency or special circumstance, a family may request a refund through Administrative Waiver. Refunds will only be available when a family cancels with a minimum of 48 hours notice, AND the family’s spot can be filled off the waitlist.
When a student and/or chaperone signs up but is a no-show for two field trips, then they will not be allowed on any more field trips for the remainder of the academic school year. Privileges will be reset at the start of the next school year.
Chaperone, Spouse, and Sibling Fees
Please note that PACT cannot make change. For any fees, exact payment is required.
Many field trips require a chaperone fee at a group rate. If space is available, families may bring additional chaperones at the set fee.
Non-PACT siblings may be able to attend some field trips at the student rate, depending on the location’s rules and availability of space. If this is an option, the information will be included when the field trip is advertised.
Siblings enrolled at other schools may not miss school to attend PACT field trips.
At times, only one form of payment may be indicated on the information flier.
To make a chaperone/sibling payment, pay the exact payment amount.
Additional Required Form for carpools:
A completed Volunteer Personal Automobile Use Form will be required per year for each driver who would like to transport additional students or participate in carpools to field trip destinations.
Each driver must provide PACT with updated information throughout the school year.
Before the Field Trip:
If scheduled, attendance at all pre or post field trip classes/meetings are required for attendance on the day of the field trip. This is primarily for overnight field trips and those related directly to workshops.
Check your email, Google Classroom and KOURT Facebook page by 7:00 a.m. the morning of the field trip for any last minute changes that may occur. You will receive an email message from the trip principals, if a trip must be cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
For cancellations, contact the field trip coordinator or Front Desk by calling their voicemail or sending them an email immediately.
Please remember that students and parent volunteers must follow the Code of Conduct and Parent/Guardian/Volunteer Responsibilities.
Follow a couple of simple instructions to receive and print your pass that will give you and your family free access to many Federal parks, lands, and waters.
