Early Childhood: Non-Licensure Pathway--family support, Smart Start agencies, agencies that provide support to children and families, child care providers, and local communities.
Early Childhood: Non-Transfer Pathway--child care teacher, elementary school teacher assistant
Graduates with these degrees typically find employment in the following settings: child development centers, child care programs, preschools, teacher assistant-type positions in publicschools, some private schools, recreational centers, Head Start Programs, and school-age programs.

Birth to Kindergarten Transfer Pathway: This pathway is only for those who want to pursue a birth-kindergarten teaching pathway. Students interested in elementary education (k-6th grade, should pursue the AA/AS pathway
Non-Licensure Pathway: This pathway is for students who are interested in working with children and families but do not want a teaching license.
Non-Transfer Pathway: This pathway is not recommended. Students should be encouraged to complete one of the transfer pathways to ensure that they can transfer in the future. This pathway is only 2 credit hours less than the transfer pathways.
These degrees are designed for students who are currently working in or plan to enter the Early Childhood field upon graduation from NCC.
Students intending to transfer to a bachelor's program or obtain an Elementary Education degree are advised to check with the Advising Center to determine which transfer program is the best degree for their goals. Students are also encouraged to contact the four-year institution within their degree plan regarding specific transfer of courses.
For most students, it is not beneficial to be enrolled in a catalog year older than 2016/2017.
