College Transfer Associate Degrees:

EDU 216 is on the AA and AS degree checklist students must be 18 to take this class. They are required to have a background check which requires a minimum age of 18.
Students may now be placed directly into MAT 271. Please follow the procedure below if a student requests direct placement. Here are the qualifications for direct placement in MAT 271.
Verify all credentials are met for the student to be eligible for MAT-271.
Make sure Admissions has an application and high school transcript.
Advising Center or Success Navigator will notify Renee Martinez if they have a student that wants to place directly in MAT 271.
The advisor or Success Navigator will send Renee Martinez an email with the student's name, ID number, and section the student requested.
Renee Martinez will verify the documentation, complete the necessary waiver forms, google doc and register the student.
Renee Martinez will send a follow up email to Ms. Angar, the advisor (Success Coach) and student.
Ms. Angar and Renee Martinez will track these students for required state reporting.

In the Spring of 2021, we will begin offering the AA in Teacher Prep and the AS in Teacher Prep. The AA in Teacher Prep will be the best fit for our elementary and special education majors. The AA and AS continue to be the best fit for all other education majors at ECU. The addition of SOC 225 will be a great help for education majors. SOC 225 is strongly preferred over SOC 210 for those students.
