BPT has changed state curriculum. Students currently taking BPT courses need to finish their course sequence. If a student is in BPT now, but has not started any BPT courses, please change their calendar year to 2023 and advise them on the new checklist above.

BPT 111 Broadcast Law & Ethics (M 11-12:30 & online)
BPT 231 Video Production I (T, W, Th 11-12:40, F 10-11:40)
BPT 235 Video Performance I (T 1-1:50, Th 1-2:30)
BPT 255 Computer-Based Production (M, W, 1-2:30)
FVP 240 Introduction to Screenwriting (online)
PLEASE NOTE
- Students need to take BPT 231 Video Production I AND BPT 235 Video Performance I in the same semester! These courses are currently only offered every other year.
- Only students who NEED BPT 111 Law & Ethics to graduate should take this course. This course is not necessary for new students to the BPT program.
- For BPT 255 Computer-Based Production
Current students who HAVE taken WEB 111 (Intro to Web Graphics) DO NOT need to take BPT 255 Computer-Based Production.
Current students who HAVE NOT taken WEB 111 can take BPT 255 Computer-based production to satisfy graduation requirements.
All NEW students need to take BPT 255 Computer-Based Production (which will be offered every Fall).
- For BPT 110 only the course name has changed. If you've already taken and passed BPT 110 Intro to Broadcasting, you do not need to take BPT 110 Media Evolution.

Students enrolled in the Broadcasting Production Technology curriculum will develop professional skills in radio, television, audio, video, and related applications. Training will emphasize speech, script writing, production planning, editing, and post production. Students will also study the development of the broadcasting industry, sales, ethics, law, marketing, and management.
