What's new here?

Depending on the tense, some verbs have a different meaning!

  1. SABER = to know

    • imperfect = knew

    • preterite = found out


  1. CONOCER = to know

    • imperfect = knew / was familiar with

    • preterite = met


  1. PODER = to be able to

    • imperfect = was or wasn't able to (had the potential)

    • preterite = achieved it (w/o "no"), failed it (with the word "no" is before it)


  1. QUERER = to want

    • imperfect = wanted

    • preterite = tried to (w/o "no"), refused (w/ "no")


  1. ENTENDER = to understand

    • imperfect = understood

    • preterite = found out / "caught on"
