In this enrichment activity, you will have the choice between two Makey Makey projects to design and code interactive people art with a Makey Makey and Scratch to retell “Her-Story. The original idea came from the creative Colleen Graves, Director of Curriculum & Design for Makey Makey who created the interactive art city project, yet today we are going to put just a little spin on this design with even more options.
The over goal for this activity is to have you craft a paper doll on the foreground of a city or townscape to design into an interactive Scratch coding poster to retell "Her-Story" from an inspiring learning moment from your multimedia presentation or vide documentary interview.
Another option is to design a talking paper doll "Her-Story" using cardboard and crafting materials, brass fasteners, and then once again using Scratch to code and verbally record "Her-Story" of a scene from your video documentary interview. So you have lots of choice to design, create and personalize your final coding project.
Thanks to Colleen again for making these step-by-step Makey Makey student guides available for free, and educator support pages, so you can find instant success in your Makey Makey design and coding "Her-Story" project!
