WORKFLOW OF DESIGN PRODUCTION
Facilitated by Instructional Facilitator: Large Group Strategy Session (10-15 minutes)
1. Brainstorm/Ideate three must haves to be included when producing a self-driving car prototype with these requirements:
a. Size and dimensions must not exceed 5 inch length, 3 inch width, 2 inch height.
b. Utilize the trunk or hood space compartments to store rechargeable and or backup battery(s) and/or solar panel option, as this car must run on at least a 3 hour battery charge.
c. Must be able to seat a minimum of two Lego figurine passengers.
d. At least one accessible feature will need to be included to meet the needs of an individual that has special needs.
ACCOMMODATIONS DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS
Due to time constraints- the Instructional Facilitator may use car templates that the teams can choose from. Make sure everyone is in agreement of making a choice. From the hard copy template or template found in the 3Doodler app, the team will create the pieces to design their new self-driving electric car frame structure. Discuss any challenges. Identify each piece of design creation and who is responsible to create based on job task.
