CELEBRATE YOUR LEARNING AND MARKET YOUR PROTOTYPE CAR

On Day 2 of this STEM project, teams of students will share and showcase their concept self-driving electric car prototypes, and share their why of their collaborative team design concepts. These concept ideas will address how this prototype is cost effective, green-friendly and will meet the immediate travel demands and social tech needs of today's Generation Z workforce.

  1. Make a Pitch - Take a photo of your final prototype car design/creation. Add your photo to your "Make a Pitch" 3-5 page shared Google Slide Deck that has been provided to you by your Instructional Facilitator.
  2. Incorporate digital assets into your digital story with adding embedded audio and video clips with the Google Slide Deck to “Make Your Pitch” of your sharing your WHY:

A.How and why your SELF-DRIVING ELECTRIC CAR is the most cost effective car on the market?

B. What important features make it green friendly and safe for our environment?

C. What types of quality safety and accessibility features are built into your prototype to meet the needs of all generation age groups from 18-100?

D. What types of tech options are built into this car to meet the high-tech needs and travel demands of the Generation Z workforce?

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEETING A CAR DESIGN ENGINEER & SCIENTIST

MEET A MOTION PLANNING CAR ENGINEER

On Day 3 take time to seek out, video conference to meet and ask questions with a GM, Tesla, Waymo Motion Planning Car Engineer or local or national engineer through Code.org. Also tap into SKYPE In The Classroom to seek out experts who can inspire and engage your students and spark the interest of the how and why self driving technology works, what are the challenges/barriers and what are the latest findings to advance this type of self-driving and motion technology to ensure it is safe for consumers on the roadways.

+Prior to your virtual video chat with an expert. Remember to have engaging questions prepared ahead of time, your time zones are accurate, and a sound check of all the video/sound playback is working for a great learning experience.

Also checkout the website Career Village.org for a Q and A student forum to pose questions to experts in the 3D, AI, Technology, and STEM industry fields to discover careers and opportunities of what it takes to be the next innovative scientist or a design engineer.
