Did you know that each of the characters on this page come from the imagination of a person who escapes the wonderland that is reading. Many of these character's have also influenced movies and new characters. Did you know that Nanny McPhee was influenced by Mary Poppins.

Hercules comes from Classical mythology and the time before books when oral traditions of storytelling were still alive. If you find it hard reading alone try read with someone else and share the magical word of reading out loud. Also, did you know that Hercules still influences culture today? Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has reinacted the character of Hercules in movies and has even made a tv series called the Titans that has modern warriors face off to different Labours to test how heroic they are, much like Hercules did in the past! You'd be surprised how often books influence the worlds of film, tv and gaming!

Although not all of the character's come from a novel they do come from writers. Olaf was created for the movie Frozen by the screen writers and became such a beloved character and franchise that now there are even more tv series and also books about the escapades of Olaf and his friends.
