This week in Well Read - Level 2 Lifelong Readers Goal
Reading Week 04-08 April 2022
What does that mean for us?
It means we can move on to the next phase. So over the next three years we will work to receive the Lifetime Readers award.
We will need volunteers from
> Students
> Parents
> The community
> The Staff
If you want to get involved email mcarty@naascc.ie
Mission of the project
The Well Read Initiative is designed to grow a Reading School Culture.
As a school we aim to:
"Foster an enjoyment of reading among children and young people"
National Literacy and Numeracy Strategy
However, enjoying reading comes not only from the enthusiasm of a teacher in a classroom but also from the magical world of make believe that Parents create at home when reading.
As such, we will strive to promote a reading culture not only among the students but among Teachers, Parent and the Community.
