Science Fair Projects are REQUIRED for all fifth grade students!
January 21st: Science Fair Info Sent Home
January 28th: Handout #1 Due
February 9th: Handout #2 Due
February 9th- March 12th: Conduct Experiment
March 13th-March 22nd: Create Board/Google Slides
March 24th: Final Project Due
All projects should have the following:
Title: (name of project)
Purpose: Reason for the project/what do you want to find out?
Hypothesis: A prediction that you make of the results before conducting the experiment.
A report: A report on the research of your project.
Books and Resources: A list of the books you read and the websites you used.
Materials: A list of supplies needed for the experiment.
Procedure: The steps or directions that you used to conduct the experiment.
Variables: The parts of the experiment that will stay the same and what will be tested to get the results.
Results: Graphs or charts showing what happened after you conducted your experiment.
Conclusion: Telling what happened….did it work? Were you right? What did you learn?
Application: Explain how your experiment relates to the real world.
