From over 16,000 Semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Competition, more than 15,000 advanced to the Finalist level, and our THHS semifinalists both advanced to the Finalist level in February. Congratulations Claire Stuvland and Harika Amineni! Our Finalists will compete for one of 2,500 National Merit® $2500 Scholarships that will be awarded on a state-representational basis. About 950 corporate-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards will be provided by approximately 180 corporations and business organizations for Finalists who meet their specified criteria, such as children of the grantor’s employees or residents of communities where sponsor plants or offices are located. In addition, about 160 colleges and universities are expected to finance some 3,800 college-sponsored Merit Scholarship awards for Finalists who will attend the sponsor institution. National Merit Scholarship winners of 2023 will be announced in four nationwide news releases beginning in April and concluding in July. These scholarship recipients will join nearly 368,000 other distinguished young people who have earned the Merit Scholar title! Merit Scholar designees are selected on the basis of their skills, accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies, without regard to gender, race, ethnic origin, or religious preference. Let's wish our Finalists good luck as the National Merit Scholarship winners of 2023 will be announced in four nationwide news releases beginning in April and concluding in July. Scholarships
Seniors! Did you know that we have a webpage full of scholarship opportunities that we update every week? Check out our Guidance Page (scroll down to scholarships) to see all the opportunities from local scholarships to nationwide scholarships. If you have any questions, schedule a time to meet with your counselor who can give you more guidance.
Over the first two weeks back from Spring Break, your School Counselors are reviewing how to create their 4-year/academic plans to help them guide course selection conversations over their time in high school. The 4-year plan is NOT their registration but a document that they can use to help reach their post-high school goals. We encourage you to review their plan with them at home! If you'd like to see the information and activity provided to them, please click HERE.
The school counselors are offering several workshops throughout the months of April and May for our students. See below for the various opportunities and their details.

Additionally, this is an alternative way to clear demerits. Students who attend one entire session (and sign in) will be able to clear one demerit. Please see the flyer below for more info!
