Ms. Barnes is excited to join the Ravenwood Raptors counseling team! She comes to Ravenwood with 12 years of valuable experience in education, most recently from Sunset Middle School. A proud native of Wilson County, Tennessee, Ms. Barnes earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She then pursued a teaching license at Lincoln Memorial University before completing her Master’s degree in School Counseling at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Ms. Barnes enjoys counseling because she loves supporting students and assisting them in developing and achieving their goals in high school and beyond. She thrives in a supportive, helpful role where she can make a positive difference in students’ lives.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Barnes enjoys spending quality time with her son visiting science museums. They are both passionate animal lovers, sharing their home with a pug and a crested gecko. In addition, Ms. Barnes treasures horseback riding as one of her favorite hobbies. She looks forward to supporting and guiding the students of Ravenwood!

As a first-year counselor, Mr. Bush is thrilled to be a part of the counseling department at RHS!! He is originally from Elizabethton, Tennessee which is a part of the mountainous, upper-east part of the state. He then moved to Cleveland, Tennessee where he attended Lee University. At Lee, Mr. Bush earned his bachelor's degree in psychology and his master's degree in school counseling during his time there.
Mr. Bush loves spending time with his family, friends, and dog, McEntire. He also enjoys being active by playing pickleball, running, working out, hiking, and going on walks. Additionally, Mr. Bush loves to both cook and bake.

Ms. Wigger is excited to be a NEW Ravenwood Counselor this year! This will be her fourth year as a Williamson County high school Counselor. She is originally from Switzerland, but moved to Nashville from Boston, MA in 2020.
Ms. Wigger graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelors in Linguistics. She went on to pursue her Masters in Education at Lipscomb University in 2020 where she discovered her dream career as a School Counselor.
Ms. Wigger enjoys spending time with friends, being outdoors, and staying active. She is very excited for the opportunity to work with Ravenwood families and cannot wait to help her students grow holistically!

Mrs. Grijalva joined the RHS Counseling team in the Summer of 2022. She has been a school counselor for 17 years and loves working with students and families to help them reach their dreams. She is also the junior varsity sideline cheerleading coach. She previously worked for Concordia University, Irvine as an adjunct faculty member to help train and develop the next generation of school counselors.
Mrs. Grijalva graduated from the University of Southern California with her Masters in Science in Educational Counseling Psychology. Fight On! Her undergraduate work was done at California State University, Long Beach. She enjoys spending time with her family, attending concerts, and watching her daughter dance. Fall is her favorite time of year, but nothing is better than a good sunset!
Mrs. Grijalva is excited to be a Raptor and serve the families of Ravenwood. Working in the community she lives in has always been important to her. She loves being able to see her students excel in school and out in the community. #G2BARR
