Important Dates

August

1 - College Applications Open 

• Senior meetings start. Make sure you look for information & sign up with your Counselor.

September

•  9 - College and Career Fair at the Williamson Co Ag Expo Center. 

October

• 1 - Senior ACT Day at school.

• 15 - Early Decision Deadline for some colleges. Double check your application portal for deadlines. 

• 21 - College & Career Night at Ravenwood. Attend sessions & presentations on Scholarships, completing the FAFSA, being a first generation college student, & so much more!

November

• 1- Application deadline for many major universities. Make sure you double check the admission websites of the colleges you are applying to. 

• 1- Deadline for the Tennessee Promise Scholarship Application. https://www.tn.gov/tnpromise.html

• 15- Application deadline for many major universities. Make sure you double check the admission websites of the colleges you are applying to.

December

• 1 - 2025 - 2026 Academic Year FAFSA Opens officially. File your FAFSA as soon as possible; Aid is distributed on a first come, first served basis. (FAFSA.gov)

• Mid-term exams - be sure to do your best as some colleges will request mid-year transcript grades! 

• Winter Break; This is a great time to start exploring Scholarships! 

January

• Mid year transcripts and reports are uploaded to Common App by your Counselor if required for your application. 

February

• If you haven’t already done so, visit schools to which you applied/have been accepted to help make your decision. Seniors are allowed four excused college visits as long as you bring back formal documentation to student services. 

• Wait to hear back...

March

• 1st - FAFSA deadline for Tennessee Promise Scholarship

• SPRING BREAK — ENJOY!

April

• By mid-April, you should have heard an admission decision from all of the colleges you have applied to. 

• Notify all colleges which have accepted you of your final decision.

• Notify colleges who have put you on their waiting list if you wish to remain on it.

May

• 1st - Reply to the college you choose. Do not place a deposit with more than one college: it is unethical and you can be dropped by both colleges if discovered.

• Request your final transcript to be sent to your college. 

• 15th - Senior Exams begin 

• 23rd - MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE 

• 24th - GRADUATION!
