Requesting a letter of Recommendation? 

1. Please request your letter of recommendation politely in person or via email directly to the teacher or counselor of your choice.

   • Respect that teachers may have to say no if they are already writing many letters of recommendation. 

2.  Please give your counselor or teacher a minimum of 15 school days to complete the letter (more time is even better!)

3.   If you are requesting a recommendation letter from a COUNSELOR, please complete a student data sheet form

College Applications

1. First, check with the specific college you are applying to and determine if they prefer that you apply through their website or through another program like the Common App.

2. The Common App and  The Coalition App are websites that allow you to complete 1 application and submit it to multiple colleges. Disclaimer: not every college is available on these platforms.

   • You can also review college essay questions on these sites!

3. If you need to send your high school transcript to a university outside of Common App and Coalition App, please visit  https://www.orderatranscript.com  - (It's FREE)

   • If you need to mail a transcript, a request will need to be made to the school registrar and a $2 fee is required at the time of request. More information can be found at https://www.wcs.edu/domain/1239
