Ready Player One

Ready Player One takes place in 2045, when much of humanity relies on the virtual reality software OASIS (Ontologically Anthropocentric Sensory Immersive Simulation) to escape the events occurring in the real world.

Wade Watts discovers clues to a hidden game within the program that promises the winner full ownership of the OASIS/ a cash winning prize, and joins several allies to try to complete the game before a large company ran by Nolan Sorrento is able to do so. Wade faces many challenges and losses that increase the difficulty of the hunt.
