School Counseling 

Choose Love is our school wide SEL (Social Emotional Learning) program that addresses social skills and the emotional knowledge of ones self). It is used in conjunction with other resources as part of our classroom guidance lessons. These are led by our school counselor and reinforced by staff throughout the building. Each week, grade levels learn a lesson about courage, gratitude, forgiveness, or compassion in action. Our students have time to learn about the choose love formula (courage, gratitude, forgiveness, or compassion in action) and apply what is taught during the lessons and throughout their school day. Other topics also include friendship, safe bodies, coping skills, test taking skills, bullying, middle school preparedness, safety, and other lessons needed by the classroom and/or grade level.
