Our school garden and greenhouse offer a place to enrich learning with powerful hands-on experiences that make learning come alive. Garden Club provides students with the opportunity to learn about the plant life cycle, composting, vermicomposting, pollinators, growing food, and more. Students will plant seeds, transplant plants, work in the garden, and help in our very own greenhouse! We will host different sessions, throughout the year, for different grade-levels. In the spring, Garden Club students will help plan and facilitate our plant sale.
Our Science Club has participated in the District Science Fair for the last two years.
Student Council is a student-led organization dedicated to serving the school and community through special events, fundraising, and activities. Members work together to develop important skills such as leadership, decision-making, cooperation, and effective communication.
The goal of Destination Imagination is to help students learn to be creative in every aspect of their lives. Students will learn to feel inspired and equipped to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. The team will work on several "instant challenges" during each meeting, which will help them work cooperatively and creatively while fostering critical thinking skills. In addition, at the start of each season, teams choose one of seven challenges. After months spent creating, developing, and practicing their solution, students have the opportunity to participate in a state tournament. If they win at state, they have the opportunity to compete in the global competition. More information can be found online at www.destinationimagination.org.
