What we learned last week: This week was Science VTCAP for 5th grade so they prepared for the test and took it. 6th grade worked on this Science Menu Tic-Tac-Toe to review important concepts from this unit. We finished the week by starting Lesson 11 where students read more about the work of John Dalton to try to fix our model.
What we are learning this week: We will finish Lesson 11 and fix our particle models so they accurately reflect the scientific experiments we have done. We will also complete Lesson 12. In this lesson students will complete an assessment where they will analyze the composition of the molecules of the reactants and possible products to determine what could be produced from the bath bomb in addition to carbon dioxide.
New in Science:
After many requests from students and parents I have put together a new system for managing work when students are absent. Students can find what they need to make up in science using this, "What did I miss?" document which is updated daily.
