Students have written an "on-demand" narrative as a pre-assessment. In October, students learned about different elements of a narrative; They practiced identifying the different parts with children's books. Students used this knowledge to write their own narratives. They will get teacher feedback on their first draft by November 7th and then have until November 17th to finalize their final draft. This will give them the opportunity to get both teacher and peer feedback (and we welcome parent reads!) They will have a final on-demand post-assessment after the Thanksgiving break.
