Mrs. A:

I am the Social Studies and ELA teacher on Team Eagle. I started teaching 24 years ago, and I'm entering year 16 in the classroom. I have now taught 2 generations of several families! When my children were young, I was the Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Fairfax and a PSIA-certified ski instructor. Over my years of teaching: I have taught 3rd - 12th grade and a variety of subjects, including Social Studies, ELA, and Science. Additionally, for the last two years, I ran the Flexible Learning Lab, I hold an ISTE certification (International Society for Technology Education) I'm passionate about middle school education, ed tech, and project-based learning.

Outside of school: I'm a mom to an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old. My son attends WPI to pursue a degree in software engineering/computer science/ mathematics along with being a varsity swimmer. My daughter is a sophomore in high school and keeps busy with school and performing in school plays and the Vermont Children's Theatre on Ice. I love geography, I love maps, and learning about different places in the world. I enjoy doing genealogy research (tracing my family tree), scrapbooking, reading, adventure racing, playing strategy board games, trying new adventures, and traveling! I'm also finishing up a 5 year home renovation. I finally have a working kitchen after 5 years!

I've been to all 50 states!
I've marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.
I've run 2 marathons and 18 1/2 marathons.

Mrs. Senesac:

I'm excited to join Team Eagle as the Math Teacher! My Teaching career began in Massachusetts and Michigan where I taught both 1st and 3rd grade. This will be my first full year at Milton Middle School as I return to the classroom after several years of substitute teaching while raising our four kids. I have a passion for working with children and look forward to becoming part of the MMS community.

Outside of School: I am orginally from St. Albans and have lived in Fairfax for the past 20 years with my husband and four children. Three out of my four children have graduated high school and moved onto college and started their careers - my youngest is a freshman in high school. I enjoy staying busy with outdoor walks, Peleton rides, reading and crafting.

Ms. Hewitt:

I am the Science teacher on Team Eagle. I started teaching 4 years ago, and this will be my second year teaching at Milton Middle School. In my years of teaching, I have taught: high school Biology, STEAM, and middle school science. I love encouraging students to ask questions about the natural world and then learn how to investigate those questions to discover new things about the world around them.

Outside of school: I am an avid baker and cook. I am always looking to try new and exciting recipes. I enjoy spending time with my family in the Adirondacks, especially my niece and nephew. I live in Milton and love taking my dog to our amazing local dog park. In the summer I love to be outside exploring, hiking, and swimming.

Mr. Stebbins:

I am the special educator on Team Eagle! This is my 6th year at MMS. I was previously on Team Equinox working with 7/8th grade students. I am excited to work with 5/6 and get to know everyone! I love forming relationships with students and getting to know them. I enjoy collaborating with staff, families, and the community to support students. I think there is value in encouraging students to self-advocate and have a voice in their education decisions.

Outside of school: I love to spend as much time as I can being outside. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, camping, and being on any type of body of water. I also enjoy going fast down mountains, on a mountain bike in the summer, and on skis or snowboarding in the winter. I enjoy watching and playing sports. I play kickball, softball, and hockey in adult recreation leagues. I live in Essex, VT with my girlfriend and our dog, Luna.
