Welcome To The Washington Montessori School Counseling Website.

My Name is Patricia Taylor and I am the proud school counselor of Washington Montessori School.  I have had the privilege of working at Washington for the last  20 years.  I  have been a school counselor for  26 years and I enjoy working with  elementary students by helping them to manage emotions and build confidence.   I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Production and a minor in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical state university,  I received a Master's in Counseling education from  North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I also have a Post Master's Certification in advance school counseling from the University of NC at Greensboro and a post master's certification as a Behavior Specialist from East Carolina University.

The Comprehensive Developmental Counseling Program includes classroom lessons, small group counseling, individual counseling, consultation with parents and teachers, school wide programming, and community involvement.  I conduct classroom lessons monthly in classrooms and provide supplemental support through the small groups initiated by parents, staff and students.  Students can be referred  for individual counseling by  parents, teachers, and they also can self -refer.

If you ever have any questions or would like to speak about any concerns at school, please feel free to email, text or call me.  My office hours are 8:00am to 3:00pm Monday - Friday. I look forward to working with our Washington students and families this school year.

Sincerely

Mrs.  Patricia Taylor
